Cover Crop Seeding

Conserve resources. Reduce erosion. Boost yields.

Benefits

Why Plant Cover Crops?

Boost Yields

Improve soil health, reduce runoff, and increase moisture retention

Conserve Resources

Reduce use of herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizer

Increase Nitrogen

Capture and transfer more nitrogen to cash crops

Suppress Weeds

Absorb moisture and sunlight before weeds take over

Reduce Soil Erosion

Improved soil structure absorbs and drains water better

Reduce Water Runoff

Soil drains faster during heavy rains and retains moisture during droughts

Improve Soil Health

Recycle nutrients, reduce pests, and increase biodiversity

Suppress Diseases

Increased biodiversity prevents diseases from spreading

decrease in soil erosion

reduction in nutrient and pesticide runoff

reduction in sentiment loading

reduction in pathogen loading

Advantages

Why Seed with a Drone?

Optimal Timing

Seed at any crop height and after (or during) heavy rains without causing damage. So you can choose the optimal time to seed based on crop strategy.

Minimize Distractions

Eliminate a critical but time consuming consuming task from your list and maintain focus on your harvest or other areas of crop management.

Cost Effective

No need to invest tens of thousands in capital and clutter up storage space for a High Boy spreader just to plant a late season cover crop.

Conserve Resources

Reduce labor costs, machine hours, diesel expenses, costly wear and tear on your equipment. And reduce water and herbicide use through better timing.
